From entry AREA framework in glossary Artificial Intelligence: humans at the heart of algorithms
The AREA framework has been developed by EPSRC, the UK funding council that covers AI and computing, in order to promote responsible innovation. The framework encourages researchers to consider their work under four headings: Anticipate, Reflect, Engage, and Act, each of which has further levels of advice.
